On March 10, 2006, the Ministry of Civil Affairs hosted a news conference to announce that five more hospitals were designated by the CCAA’s “Tomorrow’s Plan”. They were the First Hospital of Peking University, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Xinqiao Hospital of Third Military Medical University and the Third Affiliated Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University. Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products of China National Biotec Corporation was designated as the pharmaceutical provider.

A ceremony of contract signing was held during the news conference. Zhang Shi Feng, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Welfare Affairs of the Ministry hosted the ceremony.? Zhang Ming Lian, Director of the Department of Social Welfare Affairs of the Ministry signed the contracts with the five hospitals and the company.? Do Yu Pei, Vice Minister of the Ministry gave a speech. He emphasized the significance of “Tomorrow’s Plan” and expressed the Ministry’s appreciation to the hospitals and the company for their generosity. He also briefed the next phrase of “Tomorrow’s Plan”.? As a token of appreciation, the Vice Minister presented the hospitals and the company with plates.? The Director General of the CCAA, Mr. Lu Ying presented the convention.
