In order to improve the quality of childcare in our social
welfare institutes, our department has scheduled Childcare Training
for Social Welfare Institute Staff for 2006. The training will
include the following six programs: Director Training, Caretaker
Training, Educational Training for Teachers, Nutritionist Training,
Training on Utilization of the ¡°Children¡¯s Growth Chart,¡± and
Training on Post-operational Rehabilitation for Children with
Special Needs. The plan is to provide training for 660 staff
members from the social welfare institutes. The total costs
for this training is estimated to be RMB 1,460,000 and funds
are still being raised. We greatly appreciate and will continue
to appreciate additional support from adoption agencies and
adopting families on this training. We hope, with your support,
we will be able to easily complete the implementation of this
program in 2006. The success of this training will greatly benefit
children in orphanages, including those with special needs.
Agencies or individuals that would like to join our efforts
can choose a training program(s) to sponsor. Thank you for your
